What songs will you be singing as dark princes?

“Just this one!” Jyuushimatsu says. “And when the CD comes out, the B side is gonna be a live version from the competition! We got to practice on the stage a week ago? The acoustics were great! I could hear Choromatsu-niisan yelling, without a mic, from allllllllll the way in the back!”

Karamatsu you look fabulous in everything darling! All of you do but I’m a little biased since Kara is my favorite! Give me your best pose Kara!

Karamatsu’s already on his throne, scepter cradled to his chest. “Why would I tell someone to demote me from being their oshimen? Nonsense!” He crosses his legs with a flourish, pointing the aforementioned scepter towards the cameraperson. “And who am I to turn down a compliment or a request? I would never! In fact,” he sits sideways on his throne, legs over the side, “I shall give you several poses.” Foot pop. “Karamatsu fans like you deserve nothing less.” Shing! Sparkle sparkle.

Ichimatsu, I know you usually don’t care for the spotlight. How did it feel taking such a big role in this video?

“It was, um. Kind of scary? Still is, we’ll be doing more promos for this, and I’ve got to be in front every time. But, hey, it’s better than the solo songs, and I’ve done those and not died much.” He fiddles with the tattered ends of his cape. “Plus, can you imagine if I had to lead on something perky and cheery and shit? I’m just happy that they gave me something I don’t have to sing up in front with a big stupid smile on my face.”

“Ichimatsu-niisan does his smiling in the back!”

“Jyuushimatsu.”

*tumbles in* hey guys! Whatcha been up to?

“Aww, hi!” Totty’s got the camera. “We’re doing good! The shoot’s had us super busy, but we’re never too busy for our fans~!”

Osomatsu decides that’s the perfect time to just… topple over in the background. “It’s so hot in here! And we’re in layers!”

“It’s not that bad,” Todomatsu says, smile a little strained. “We’ve got a/c, we’re fine.”

“There’s only one way to save me! Someone cute needs to come here and take my clothes off before I die!”

Todomatsu thanks the prop people for making his scepter so long as he reaches back and thwaps Osomatsu in the stomach.

“What the hell was that, Totty?!” Osomatsu hollers.

“Now you’re not thinking about how warm it is! Problem solved.”

Photoshoot Q&A!

((It’s time for another! Between today and tomorrow, the boys are doing cheesy poses in cheesy outfits. Today, it’s Dark Princes: crowns and capes and little pointy bits. Tomorrow (and possibly the next day, just in case), it’s time for the Akuma Riders!

Send in your asks, get their opinions, and keep this photo day from being too boring!))

MV Monday, part one of two!

The song this week is an odd one, even among their typical releases. It comes with two separate music videos, an announcement, and a rhythm game tie-in.

[Please note that everything below is fictional, folks, I know Nothing of programming and wouldn’t be able to bring this to life. At all.]

The announcement shows the six seated in some rather dark princely duds, skulls and spikes on so many surfaces that it makes one wonder how they managed to sit comfortably. Stranger yet, Ichimatsu seems to be leading the charge.

“Looks like our fans are getting a twist this week.” He leans forward, smiling with pointed teeth as he rests his elbows on his knees. “We know how many of you play,” he pauses, as if to remember some unimportant detail, “Pop That Beat, DX Edition? You all know that there’s a competition for it next month.”

Jyuushimatsu thumps his staff against the floor. “We decree that we’re doing a collaboration with Pop That Beat just for the occasion! And it’s gonna be super tough, too!”

Totty grins, a spark of mischief in his eyes. “The song we’re contributing has an easy, medium, and hard version like the other songs in the game, just so everyone can try it out.”

“The music video will play in the backdrop, and you just might be able to play them all the way through!” Osomatsu says. “You’ll take down the six princes, and then you’ll qualify for the Master level.”

“Once you’ve entered that level, oh, dear viewers,” Karamatsu’s even managing to look wicked, “you’ll witness Hell firsthand. The flames will leap ever higher, and the sheer difficulty may swallow you whole.”

“We won’t just be princes of an earthly realm anymore. You’ll see six of the seven princes of Hell themselves, and you’ll need to defeat us all before you can compete.” Choromatsu grins.

“During the competition, there will be one final remix of our stage, in case the competition needs a tiebreaker. No mods, no autoplay, just you and whatever meager power is on your side.” Ichimatsu shouts, “If you think you have what it takes, we’d like to see you try to defeat us!”

There’s a puff of smoke, and six demons take their place, metal and leather and whirled horns. “Best of luck, mortals!”

((The sound sample for this is Momoiro Clover Z’s Kyoukai no Pendulum. The outfits used in the official MV are the new Dark Princes from Tabimatsu, and the demons from the game’s MV are from the Akuma Rider set in Hesokuri Wars. The Prince version MV is under the cut!))

*Is instantly drawn to the Matsuno’s dressed as demons(?) especially Karamatsu*

The boys were on their way out after filming that promo, but. With a response like that, Karamatsu immediately gets those horns on for one last selfie. Casual clothes, ruffled post-wig cap hair, but those fantastic horns perched on top. “Well, I’ll be damned~ 💙😈💙” is the cheesy, ridiculous caption. Karamatsu wouldn’t have it any other way!
