guys, now I’M emotional watching all the genuine support and kindness pouring into dab’s channel. the fact that you guys are actively commenting and interacting and not JUST slamming the subscribe button is so, so cool of you. you’ve restored my faith in humanity. like. someone’s been cutting onions in my room.
following the success of this post, I 100% believe we can still salvage 2016 by supporting our young, up-and-coming content creators. sub, follow, comment, make fanart, give a shoutout, make some kid’s entire year this christmas. remember how much these things meant to YOU when you were a kid? you can absolutely do the same thing for other young creators as we did for dab potato.
my followers have been asking me to make one more big meme before the end of 2016, so here’s my proposal: let’s make supporting the absolute shit out of our new creative generation the last meme of the year.
Christmas ask prompts, basically just a reason to spoil the boys.
End of the year concert event, with chances to interact with the other musicians in this AU as well as the Same Faces. Coming sometime between December 26 – 31, or may be carried on over all those days.
Mini fics for each brother showing the “backstage” side of the concert event, coming whenever they get written. Hopefully I can start posting them during the event, but they may not be posted until January.
Playlists will be posted as I come up with them. Ichimatsu’s coming later today!

Banderole’s editing squad is on point, as one can already tell when Osomatsu’s video starts.
The simple music is crisp and clear, and so is his tone when he finally pipes up. The subtle differences in his tone for his pretty boy act become more apparent when he switches between them in a duet with himself. The two versions of the eldest sextuplet get ready for their day, side by side, the size gap already a bit on the preposterous side while they pull on matching shirts, ties, blazers.
Then the guitars kick in, a logo pops up that’s clearly a parody of modern show title credits, and the whole shebang begins to look and sound like a generic slice of life anime opening sequence.
As the song grows sunnier and the “two” trade off verses and harmonies, their trip to the stereotypical school begins. They’re in their academy uniforms, both wearing it as it was intended, walking side by side on some quiet street in early morning, the smaller Osomatsu jabbing his taller equivalent with an elbow before looking away and whistling as he tries to seem casual. (The other him knows. He always knows.)
Some classroom scenes flash by after that point: As the more colorful Osomatsu takes notes and participates in classroom discussions, the classic Osomatsu is making paper planes, doing pen tricks, mocking the taller him behind his back, laughing at his own bad jokes, practicing his bottle flips and happily toppling over once he gets it right.
He’s sent into the hallway, and his other self is soon out there with him. There’s bit of muted whining and arm punching that dissolves into laughter in seconds.
The other scenes flash by more like a near the end of the series clip show than a proper episode. There are races, choral practices, art classes, and more parodic joking than you can shake a ruler at.
The logo flashes once more as the two walk home. The smaller Osomatsu trips his counterpart and makes a run for it, and he has about two seconds of peace before it turns into a race.
As a Christmas present to the fan base (and certain staffers. And Totoko.), the members of F6 have a special treat planned!
Remember when their main front was going to be of more modern-looking, technicolor prettyboys with carefully crafted personalities?
Back when they were still planned to be the main face of the group, they had solo songs, all made for those versions of them instead of their honest selves. Those songs were recorded, then… Scrapped. Ignored. Skipped over for more genuine, comfortable songs. The public liked the more losery side more! Who could have guessed?
They unearthed and partially rerecorded the songs a bit more like themselves, and the old and new were lovingly combined together.
The albums will contain a version from both faces of these six same faces, and a version and video edited to be a duet between both versions of the Matsuno featured!
The simple hero and the playful troublemaker,
The carnivore and the desperate “cool” guy,
The shadow leader and the nervous stern one,
The elegant prince and the tired snarker,
The relaxed dreamer and the excitable boy,
The sugary sweet ingenue and the bittersweet cutie.
Though they’ll never be in the same room at once, they can be in the same video and song, thanks to Banderole’s dedicated editing squad!

This has always been one of my favorite pictures but I’ve never seen a full, clean version. I ended up finding it on the inside cover of the Osomatsu-san Handmade Book I bought at Kinokuniya last week, so I scanned it and pieced it together. Enjoy~
