Instead of the usual multicolored introduction that serves as a quick introduction to the six boys, the lights go up to the sound of something twinkling and orchestral as the screens light up with images of castles and stained glass.
Chibita’s cooking show is doing well, and he’s still smiling with more force than he has in years, even with the horrendously ornate outfit they’ve put him in. The glow of success and appreciation softened him up enough to agree to this.
He unrolls the scroll in his hands, doing his best to sound official. “Hear ye, hear ye, idjits and bastards!” He gives up immediately. “I’ll be announcer and emcee this evening, so listen up! The six princes of the Kingdom of the Pine Grove are about to arrive for the White Day festivities, so no funny business!” He crumbles with a laugh, “There’s nothing in this scroll, actually, I just drew these six looking stupid. Check it out.” A camera moves across the stage to show a close-up of the almost childish scribbles on the center screen behind him.
Suddenly, the clip clopping of hooves and the freaking wheels of a carriage are heard over the speakers. “Shit, they’re ready.” He stands, scroll unfurled, trying to look pompous as he clears his throat. “Announcing Their Royal Highnesses!”
The lights went peachy as the curtains drew back under the massive screen. “The Pink Prince, Todomatsu!” Todomatsu walks out, crown atop his head, a proud smile on his face. He reaches the front of the stage, bows, and makes sure to wave to the people squealing his name before walking to the left of the stage.
“The Gold Prince, Jyuushimatsu!” Jyuushimatsu halfway runs out before remembering he was supposed to be snooty. He stands straight, lips pursed as he carefully walks to the front, bowing so fast it should have sent his crown flying, and waving his everything at the audience before smiling at Totty and walking to the right.
“The Violet Prince, Ichimatsu!” He initially freezes before regaining his nerve. Based on those screams, people were happy to see him. He can do this. His walk is slow and nervous, and his bow could be a bit deeper, but he made it. He walks next to Jyuushimatsu, who pats his back for comfort.
“The Green Prince, Choromatsu!” He emerges, glasses perched atop his nose (and fixed as soon as he’s in sight, just to draw attention to them). The fannish screams are loud, and he’s absolutely delighted. He fastwalks out, bowing quickly, offering a big smile and a wave to everyone before standing by Todomatsu.
“The Blue Prince, Karamatsu!” He walks out, arms spread, offering a gallant, overdone theatre bow to the audience, trying to seem relaxed, but still absolutely bubbling over with joy. He smiles as he walks over to Ichimatsu. (He’s given a thumbs up, and he nearly cries.)
“And the Red Prince, Osomatsu!” Osomatsu jogs to the front, one hand in his pocket, the other out to wave. He bows, waves again, and steps into the last open spot with a smile too big and silly for a prince.
“Brace yourselves,” Chibita says. “You can dress them up as nice as you want, give ‘em spiffy wigs and little crowns and all, but it doesn’t make them any better!” He laughs as he rolls the scroll up. He bows, gives the boys an “I’m watching you” look, and marches offstage.
Osomatsu speaks up first. “Guys, gals, and nonbinary pals!” He makes sure everyone else is focused before they all yell in unison:
“Welcome to the White Day ball!”
Karamatsu speaks up next. “Not only is today White Day, a day where we attempt to return all the love that our fans have given us– it will be a difficult task, but one that we intend to finish!”
“But our fanclub also hit a major milestone!” Choromatsu cheers. “Since the last time we talked about our fanclub numbers, it has grown twice as big! Thank you so much!” He’s already bowing again, save him.
“Today we’re doing a bunch of older stuff, and a few new songs as a gift to–” he winces, “Akatsuka’s sake, it’s bright.”
"One of the new songs is gonna be the theme song for a show that’s gonna premiere in a few days!” Jyuushimatsu jumps, absolutely beaming. “I’m center on that one!”
“We’re giving you our all, so make sure to give your crowned princes all you’ve got too, ok?” Todomatsu says with another wave to the audience.
((They’ll be answering some asks during this time too! Just make sure it’s something you don’t mind the boys reading aloud in front of a crowd! This event will last for a few days, just so you know!))
