((For a sound reference, try Sweet Magic, because it’s the most bombastic pastry making song I could find. Yes, this is the Hesokuri sweets set.))
After a period of video clips while the boys were offstage, flashbacks to screaming over votes, mostly, there’s a loud drumroll before things emerge from the back of the auditorium, the boys perched on top of them as they’re wheeled up closer to the stage like a strange, sugary parade.
“Thanks again for making me number one on Valentine’s Day and White Day!” He waves around a massive dork. “All of you are such sweethearts; how about I give you a little sugar back?” When he gets a mass of screams and “did he really make that joke” groans of disappointment, he laughs victoriously and stands atop the pile of puffy, visibly soft pancakes, doing his best to maintain his balance by holding his arms and a massive fork out like a bakery-sponsored surfer.
The others emerge atop their own big prop desserts that the crowd may recognize from the posters and event CDs on the merch table (though with more clothes on, I won’t name any names Karamatsu), trading off lines as they’re wheeled through the audience. The live band and brass section provides the already happy track with some more energy and volume, and it’s infectious! So infectious, in fact, that the other brothers aren’t quite as upset that Osomatsu has a lot of this song all to himself.
They roll up to the stage just in time to dance their way through the last verse and chorus, band blasting, audience jumping, everything a special kind of sweet as thanks for their votes and affection.
After the band accompanies them on a few more tracks from their past almost year of action, the audience cameras focus on a certain duo who’s about to start a TV show: Dekapan and Dayon.
“So,” Jyuushimatsu says, padding up to the front and center of the stage, “Osomatsu won your vote for white day, but when they asked who should do the theme song for this upcoming road trip show, they chose me!” He mock whispers into the mic, “They thought Ichi would get too spooked if he was center along with me, so I got it.” He perks up again, back to his usual volume. “So when the production company was reserving times for them and getting permission to film, they took us and we filmed the music video in all the spots they’re gonna visit!“ He waves to the two of them in the audience. “Consider this a sneak preview of your trip! And your theme song! You asked for something funky, and we did our best!”

He steps back into formation, and the brass section quickly proves why they stayed. The arrangement is sunny and bright, the song full of hope and bad puns about the places they would head to, from stage shows to kimono makers to strawberry farms.
Each Matsu got their chance to shine, a little moment front and center, but when the choruses rolled around, Jyuushi was front and center, yelling for the audiences to cheer and jump along with them.
They wished them all the best on their journey, along with everyone’s journey through life. Because keeping things general makes it more accessible. Did they stay still for even a second? Nope. Too excited. Jyuushimatsu is honestly running circles around the others. Literally, he’s choreographed to run around the others, it’s in the video playing behind them and everything.
Relentlessly catchy, relentlessly optimistic, and chock full of cultural icons and significance. This was going to be impossible to avoid on the radio and online, and these little shits knew it.
The last note was accompanied by confetti cannons, and the boys took their bows at the front of the stage.
Todomatsu waves as the band picks up again. “Thank you all for your support!”
Jyuushimatsu simply jumps with the rhythm, laughing as the audience joins in.
Ichimatsu remains silent, but… He smiles again. That alone seems to drive the Ichimatsu fans to madness.
Choromatsu claps along to the same rhythm, calling out to the crowd, “Thank you! We’re only going to get better from here on!”
“Your love means the world to us! Thank you for the precious gift that you’ve given us!” Karamatsu bows deeply, flinging yet another pair of sunglasses into the crowd.
“As always, we’re totally in your debt, and we feel luckier and luckier every day! Also as always, we are the miracle sextuplets Akatsuka Fujio created,” he looks to the rest to get their attention.
In unison, they hold their hands out in their usual six shape, the audience yelling along with them, “F6! Thank you so much!”
With more bows, and one more blast of the confetti cannons, they depart, already planning what to propose to their higher ups for the next event.
